Intergalactic Spaceworx, LLC is seeking a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to provide analytical modeling for the systems engineering team. You will lead component and system level trade studies, develop architecture to meet customer requirements, and drive thermal modeling and analysis with a multi-disciplinary team.

The role covers performance requirements compliance, data interpretation, model maintenance, and transitioning prototypes to production. Remote or on-site in St.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 8–10 years of relevant experience; advanced degrees satisfy part of experience requirement.
• Deep expertise in thermal fluid sciences including fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat transfer.
• Experience with vapor cycle, liquid cooling, and/or air cycle systems; modeling and analysis.
• Proven ability to lead modeling/analysis teams and coordinate across engineering functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist Systems Engineer in developing system architecture and technical approach.
• Identify and manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
• Lead modeling/analysis and coordinate activities with other engineering groups.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineer and Program Manager to ensure successful modeling, analysis and testing.
• Manage technical requirements and support traceability and verification.
