Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of solid B2B sales experience in telecom with collocation, wholesale, and data transit.
• Track record of hunting, quota achievement in direct sales.
• Ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business via prospecting and research.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, revenue-driven environment.
• Working knowledge of CRM and Microsoft Office is a plus.
• College degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a regional/global sales territory.
• Qualify and generate new opportunities by direct calling and emailing Key Decision Makers.
• Meet with prospects through onsite meetings as needed.
• Use consultative selling to position connectivity solutions.
• Support customers by leveraging Cogent's global network footprint.
