Job summary

Nametag is seeking a Technical Writer to own its technical documentation for customers. You will write user manuals, API guides, release notes, and FAQs so users can navigate the software with ease.

This hands-on role partners with engineering and product leadership to shape documentation and delivery processes. We value strong judgment, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to document complex workflows in a fast-moving software environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience turning complex processes into simple documentation.
• Understanding user experience principles to layout articles intuitively.
• Experience in fast-paced software development cycles and sprints.
• Knowledge of languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Python to document APIs.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Create and Maintain User Documentation: manuals, API guides, release notes, FAQs.
• Follow and maintain company style guides for consistent messaging.
• Review existing docs to fix errors and add feature updates.
• Analyze feedback from support data to improve confusing parts.
• Track page views and user ratings to measure helpfulness.
• Audit systems by testing software to ensure accuracy of steps.
