Job summary

Ping Identity is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our documentation team. You will collaborate with engineers, product teams, and subject matter experts to define and maintain core documentation for Ping Identity's products across cloud and on-premises environments.

You will translate complex concepts into clear, user-friendly content for multiple audiences, advocate for docs throughout the SDLC, and work in a Docs-as-Code environment using GitHub and AsciiDoc.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Proactive in exploring unreleased features and collaborating with engineering teams.
• Experience with Markdown languages, version control, and single-source techniques.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence or similar PM platforms.
• Experience using AI assistants for code generation, summaries, and style checks.
• Understanding of documentation site build/publish processes (Jenkins, Antora).
• Ability to collaborate effectively both in-person and remotely.
• Ability to craft content for humans and structure docs for AI tools/search engines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and product teams to create and maintain documentation for Ping Identity products.
• Deliver docs for cloud-based services and on-prem software for diverse audiences.
• Investigate, research, and learn product features and standards.
• Translate complex concepts into clear, user-friendly content with examples and use cases.
• Advocate for documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Work with AsciiDoc in a Docs-as-Code environment using GitHub.
• Follow SDLC to anticipate documentation needs.
• Provide constructive edits for writer or developer-contributed content.
