Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to craft comprehensive documentation for complex financial tech systems. You will translate technical concepts into user guides, online help, and reference manuals while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and clarity.

You’ll drive content standards, reuse models, templates, and version control, while mentoring teams on best practices. Proficiency in MadCap Flare and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in technical writing, CS, MIS, English, journalism, or related field.
• 8+ years defining, writing and editing technical manuals, guides, or policy documentation.
• Proficiency in MadCap Flare and its toolset.
• Strong communication, self-management, and cross‑departmental collaboration.
• Experience managing large documentation projects to completion.
• Proficiency with MadCap Flare, MS Word, SnagIt, and Visio.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business and training materials.
• Detail-oriented with ownership of assigned projects.
• Background in high-performance tech companies' processes is a plus.
• Background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Meet with stakeholders to gather information for internal and external documentation.
• Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and delivery formats (PDF, HTML, etc.).
• Develop schedules and manage content development plans.
• Document milestones for Technical Writer workflow (Salesforce, Lockpath, etc.).
• Translate technical information into output such as web content, online help, knowledge bases, user guides, training materials, policies and forms.
• Track changes and verify technical and functional accuracy of deliverables.
• Develop and maintain content development best practices and reusable single-source models.
• Maintain consistent look and feel via CSS, templates, and style guidelines.
