Job summary

Ping Identity in the United States is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our documentation team. You will work on documentation for Ping Identity products in a Docs-as-Code environment, remotely or in a hybrid setup (Denver, CO or Austin, TX).

You will translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content and collaborate with engineers, PMs, and SMEs. You will manage multiple projects, utilize Markdown, Git, Jira/Confluence, and Antora/Jenkins, and help craft content for both

Qualifications

Experience with software development and Agile methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Proactive exploration of unreleased features and collaboration with engineering teams.
Proficiency with Markdown, version control, metadata tagging, and IDEs.
Experience using Jira and Confluence or similar platforms.
Experience using AI assistants for code generation and style checks.
Understanding of documenting sites built/published with Jenkins and Antora.
Collaborative, both in person and remote work settings.
Ability to craft content for humans and for AI tooling and search engines.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and product teams to define and maintain core documentation.
Deliver documentation for cloud-based services and on-premise software for various audiences.
Investigate, learn, and explain product concepts clearly with real-life examples.
Translate complex concepts into user-friendly content with examples and use cases.
Advocate for documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
