Job summary

Travelers in Maryland is seeking a Sr. Technical Specialist to lead complex toxic tort, latent injury, environmental, and excess claims with large exposures. You will apply advanced knowledge of legal issues, manage claims strategically, and mentor junior staff as part of the Strategic Resolution Group.

You will research coverage, analyze liability, coordinate with counsel, and maintain rigorous documentation while delivering strong customer service and leadership within the SRG team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in toxic tort, latent injury, environmental claim and coverage determination.
• Licensing may be required to comply with state Travelers requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coverage research and analysis of policies across legacy companies and jurisdictions.
• Liability investigation and analysis to determine damages and recommended action.
• Litigation management with counsel, settlements and strategies.
• Account management with regular communication and leadership in meetings.
• Financial analysis and budgeting for claim exposures.
• File maintenance and administrative compliance in SRG systems.
• Coaching, mentoring and project leadership as needed.
