Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Technical Specialist to join the Strategic Resolution Group Claim team in Baltimore. You will handle complex toxic tort, latent injury, sexual misconduct and environmental claims, managing moderate to large exposures with strategy to resolve efficiently and effectively.

With supervision, you will develop understanding of applicable law across jurisdictions, perform coverage and liability analyses, and communicate positions to policyholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years of claim handling, legal, insurance or environmental fields.
• Licensing: Insurance License(s) may be required within three months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Coverage research and analysis of policies across multiple legacy companies and jurisdictions.
• Liability investigation and analysis to determine liability and damages.
• Litigation management and strategic file planning; engage counsel and manage costs.
• Account management with strong communication to coordinate actions on assigned accounts.
• Financial analysis to estimate exposures and develop defense/indemnity budgets.
• Maintain organized claim files and proficiency with SRG systems and databases.
• May involve staff development, mentoring, and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
