Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Senior Specialist - Technical Sales to drive major projects and grow specialized product lines. You will present demonstrations, provide pre- and post-sales support, and collaborate with the Sales team on technical solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in electrical industry experience, 5+ years sales experience, and travel 25–50%. Compensation ranges from $83,232 to $124,848 annually with bonus opportunities possible.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• 3+ years electrical industry experience as a manufacturer or distributor.
• 5+ years sales experience in a related industry.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel 25%–50%.

Responsibilities

• Calls on client, management and representatives, to convince them of desirability of technical products or services offered.
• Provides technical services to clients relating to specified products.
• Makes sales contacts, researches customer needs and develops product and application information, demonstrating technology solutions for customers.
• Gathers, analyzes and shares technical information and solutions to internal and external customers.
• First line of pre/post technical sales support for sales teams.
• Expertise in specified technical products; acts as domain expert internally and externally.
• Leads joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Assists account representatives in finding new sales opportunities by teaching and guiding.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in product and complimentary product areas.
