Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Specialist - Technical Sales in the United States to drive commercial and technical decision-making throughout the sales cycle for large projects. You will lead product demonstrations, deliver presentations to customers and sales reps, and provide expert pre/post-sales support to close opportunities.

The role requires strong communication skills, electrical industry experience, and a track record in sales.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required; engineering/business degree preferred.
• 1+ years electrical industry experience as manufacturer or distributor.
• 3+ years sales experience in related industry.

Responsibilities

• Calls on client and representatives to convince them of desirability of technical products or services.
• Provides technical services to clients relating to specified products.
• Makes sales contacts, researches customer needs and provides product/app information; demonstrates technology solutions.
• Gathers, analyzes and shares technical information with internal and external customers.
• First line of pre/post technical sales support for sales teams.
• Develops expertise in specified product groups.
• Participates in joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency.
• Understands market conditions and competitive forces.
• Promotes value-add products in competitive situations.
• Participates in marketing, promotion programs, and product launches.
