Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Senior Recruiter to identify and hire top technical talent, focusing on engineering, technical operations, and program management.

The role supports collaboration with managers, HR partners, and cross-functional teams across the business, delivering a premier candidate experience. The position can be based at Saab’s Syracuse, NY headquarters or remotely within the Eastern/Central Time Zone, with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 8+ years of recruiting/sourcing experience or Master’s with 6+ years in related roles.
• Strong recruiting experience in technical/complex environments, preferably engineering/program management.
• Proven ability to source passive talent via Boolean search, market research, networking, and targeted strategies.
• Ability to partner with engineering leaders, HR Partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce plans, role requirements, and priorities.
• Develop and execute recruiting and sourcing strategies focused on engineering, technical operations, and program management.
• Identify, engage, and cultivate passive candidates using LinkedIn, databases, and networks.
• Build high-quality technical talent pipelines for current and future needs.
• Conduct market research and talent mapping to understand skill availability and compensation trends.
• Establish effective assessment strategies, interview approaches, and candidate profiles with hiring managers.
• Screen resumes to assess technical qualifications and fit for roles and organization.
• Serve as a talent advisor to managers on availability, compensation, and hiring conditions.
• Manage candidate activity throughout the recruiting lifecycle with timely communication.
• Keep candidate information and recruiting docs updated in Workday.
