Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead large, complex IT projects within the CMS Eligibility Support program. You will drive schedules, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications while coordinating with multiple project managers and vendors.

The role requires seven+ years of IT project leadership, PMP certification, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust. Travel up to 10% is expected as needed to meet program objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• A minimum of seven years of experience leading information technology projects or programs.
• Active PMP certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
• Travel up to 10% as required.
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework, Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Experience leading three to four large-scale technical projects.
• Experience managing project teams with internal and external resources.
• Experience presenting project information to executive sponsors.
• Experience communicating to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
• Experience using Jira, SharePoint, and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Manage large, complex technical projects from initiation through completion.
• Oversee three to four large projects across lifecycles.
• Lead program-level initiatives with multiple related projects.
• Develop and maintain schedules, milestones, risks, and status reports.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead briefings and technical meetings with stakeholders and vendors.
• Coordinate resources to meet project objectives.
• Analyze dependencies across projects and initiatives.
• Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.
• Ensure adherence to governance, procedures, and contracts.
• Prepare documentation for daily/weekly meetings.
• Evaluate user and system requirements and align solutions with project goals.
• Review test plans and support deployments with minimal disruption.
• Document lessons learned and drive process improvements.
• Mentor teams on Scaled Agile principles and governance.
