Job summary

Affirm is hiring a leadership role to guide a team of Technical Account Managers serving our SMB merchants. You will oversee post-sale technical success, advise merchant developers and product teams, and help maximize value from Affirm’s product suite after launch.

You will coach, recruit, and align cross-functional partners, while tracking objectives and optimizing onboarding, integration, and scale for a growing merchant network. A CS degree or related engineering experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a b2b customer-facing technical role and three+ years as a people manager.
• Strong background in web development technologies and REST APIs with a CS degree or professional engineering experience.
• Great relationship builder with ability to quickly build rapport with engineering customers and internal teams.
• Bonus: experience providing solutions to ecommerce or in-store retailers.
• Position requires equivalent practical experience or a related Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and develop TAMs to support SMB merchants.
• Collaborate with Client Success to grow merchants and optimize time-to-market.
• Set and track team OKRs; create proactive plans to meet goals.
• Forecast TAM demand and recruit as needed.
• Evaluate new hires’ technical capabilities; handle escalations and provide guidance.
• Advocate for merchants across functions to align priorities.
