Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer in Technology to partner with agents and brokers for new and renewal business, applying deep underwriting expertise to markets with growth potential.

You will manage profitability, negotiate complex accounts, and collaborate with internal partners to drive sales plans while traveling to meet with agents and brokers to market Travelers products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• CPCU designation preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet in person with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with the Managing Director to create region plans.
• May assist in mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
