Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer (Technology) to partner with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business. You will independently assess complex risk, negotiate terms, and build trusted relationships to drive profitability and market share.

This is a senior, technical underwriting role with accountability for profitability and relationship management. You will hold a bachelor's degree, 6–8 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines, and CPCU

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication skills and negotiation ability with agents/brokers.
• CPCU designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to develop sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents/brokers to market Travelers products and secure new and renewal business.
• Travel as required to key client meetings and partnerships.
• Develop agency sales plans in coordination with leadership.
• Support training/mentoring of junior Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
