Job summary

BDO USA, LLP seeks a Core Tax Services Senior Manager to advise clients on tax implications of business objections, assess compliance options, and serve as the primary contact for complex tax issues. The role includes leading tax compliance, research, ASC 740 analysis, and tax consulting to minimize client taxes and communicate risks.

You will participate in leadership, marketing and business development, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to firm policies and the Tax Quality Manual.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of tax experience required.
• CPA, Attorney, or EA certification required.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Industry expertise in one or more tax specialties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance: ensure clients comply with authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens; align with Firm policies and TQM.
• Research: identify issues, frame research questions, report analysis clearly, and guide engagement teams.
• ASC 740 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals: apply ASC 740 correctly and review provisions and workpapers.
• Tax Consulting: develop and implement efficient methods to maximize client benefits and reduce taxes.
• Tax Specialization: develop deep understanding in tax areas and possibly train staff.
• Strategy Development: propose new tax strategies and lead client communications.
• Other duties as required.
