Job summary

affirm is hiring a Senior Technical Account Manager (Senior TAM, L6) to own the operational health of technical accounts across the strategic alliance portfolio. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure SLA delivery while driving cross-functional initiatives and custom integration solutions.

The role progresses from operational focus to end-to-end account ownership within 6–12 months, mentoring teammates and guiding roadmap-aligned projects across product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Six+ years in technical, external-facing roles (e.g., Technical Account Management, Solutions/Partner Engineering, or Solutions Architecture).
• Proven ability to own operational health of technical accounts and deliver against SLAs.
• Strong API and web technologies understanding; RESTful APIs, webhooks, HTTP.
• Ability to read production code and write queries to diagnose issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate tech to non-tech leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own operations across strategic alliance portfolio: alerting, monitoring, troubleshooting, and SLA delivery.
• Lead investigations, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional escalation when needed.
• Drive initiatives and collaborate with product/engineering on launches and optimizations.
• Design and deliver high-scope custom integration solutions on top of standard integrations.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to interview and team development.
• Own dedicated book of strategic alliance accounts over time.
