Job summary

Sentara Health, based in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to partner with hiring managers and HRBPs to forecast hiring needs and deploy strategic recruiting solutions. The role focuses on high-volume, hard-to-fill positions across healthcare, with proactive sourcing and event participation to attract diverse, high-value candidates.

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end recruitment, including screening, interviewing and testing, and contribute to recruitment plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Two years of HR experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or four years of equivalent experience with a High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years recruitment experience strongly preferred.
• Recruitment in Healthcare environment strongly preferred.
• Experience with high volume recruitment and hard-to-fill positions.
• Ability to attend recruitment events and TA events strongly preferred (Virginia/North Carolina).

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers and HR business partners to understand and anticipate hiring needs.
• Proactively identify strategic recruiting solutions to meet needs.
• Manage the recruitment process for all open positions in assigned units.
• Source new resources and utilize proactive techniques to recruit diverse, high-value candidates.
• Engage in tactical and strategic sourcing to help units recruit top talent.
• Execute and facilitate overall recruitment strategy including screening, interviewing and testing.
• Lead projects as needed and handle high-volume, varied, and hard-to-fill openings.
