Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist (Sourcer) in Virginia Beach, VA to partner with hiring managers and HR to forecast needs and proactively identify top talent. You will lead sourcing, screening and interviewing, building a diverse talent pool across healthcare units while coordinating recruitment events.

The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, collaboration with HR partners, and the ability to travel to events; HS Diploma is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of HR experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or four years of equivalent experience with a High School Diploma or GED are required.
• Recruitment experience strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in Recruitment (Corporate, Health Plans, Healthcare) strongly preferred.
• Candidates in the Hampton Roads geographic footprint (within 50 miles of 1330 Sentara Park, Virginia Beach) strongly preferred to attend recruitment events.
• Experience organizing, hosting virtual and in-person recruitment events and ability to travel to events.
• Experience building Talent Pool, experience with CRM tools to build talent pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers and HR business partners to understand hiring needs and identify sourcing strategies.
• Manage recruitment process for all open positions in assigned units with focus on sourcing diverse, high-value candidates.
• Lead tactical and strategic sourcing to proactively recruit top talent and build a strong talent pool.
• Execute and facilitate the recruitment strategy including screening, interviewing and testing.
• Project future employment needs, create recruitment plans and improve the employment process.
• May lead projects and handle high volume or hard-to-fill roles.
