Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a senior IT Engineer to act as a high-level escalation point, diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security systems. You will mentor Tier 1/2 staff, contribute to proactive maintenance, and drive strategic improvements.

The role emphasizes collaboration with service delivery and project teams, ensuring regulatory alignment and continuous technology advancement while maintaining a positive team

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in an IT service role, systems administration, and/or network administration.
• 3+ years designing, implementing, and/or supporting client networks/systems in a managed services role.
• Associate degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
• Three or more certifications: CCNA, Network+, Server+, Microsoft 365 or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the high-level escalation point for complex incidents, service requests, and problem management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security systems.
• Perform deep-dive root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Collaborate with vendors/partners to resolve escalated issues.
• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians to improve troubleshooting skills.
