Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a seasoned IT professional to serve as a high-level escalation point for complex incidents and projects. The role requires diagnosing, resolving, and guiding global client environments, with emphasis on networking, systems engineering, or a hybrid of both disciplines.

You will mentor Tier 1/2 staff, collaborate with service delivery and account teams, and lead major upgrades while ensuring compliance and security across client environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an IT service role, systems administration, and/or network administration.
• 3+ years designing, implementing, and/or supporting client networks/systems in a managed services role.
• Associate degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
• Three or more certifications: CCNA, Network+, Server+, Microsoft O365 or Azure (excluding foundational courses).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the high-level escalation point for complex incidents and requests.
• Troubleshoot advanced issues across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security systems.
• Perform deep-dive root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
• Mentor Tier 1/2 technicians to improve troubleshooting skills.
• Lead server, network, and application upgrades and migrations.
• Assist with incident response, vulnerability remediation, and security audits.
