Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Technical Architect to design, implement, and support network services for diverse clients, while mentoring peers. You will build customer relationships, translate business challenges into specifications, and lead engineers across projects with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Practice Leads, project managers, and sales teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent certifications or experience.
• At least two professional level certifications.
• CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA.
• Experience designing and architecting network-based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network devices.
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS experience and best practices.
• Routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2/L3 design.
• Strong prioritization and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain docs.
• Execute projects on time and on budget with PMs and Leads.
• Lead engineers to ensure timely, accurate task completion.
• Serve as Lead Engineer on multi-technology projects.
• Provide daily project updates and proactive communications.
• Foster collaboration across business units for customer success.
• Demonstrate strong communication in team and client meetings.
• Contribute to product selection, standards, and sales education.
• Maintain professionalism and a collaborative demeanor.
