Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a senior IT professional to act as a high-level escalation point and senior technical advisor. You will diagnose complex incidents, mentor junior teams, and lead upgrades and major changes across servers and networks.

The role requires strong operations, security, and governance focus in a managed services environment. The position emphasizes collaboration with clients, vendors, and project teams to improve service quality and enforce regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in an IT service role, systems administration, and/or network administration.
• 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, and/or supporting client networks/systems in a managed services role.
• Associate degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
• Three or more certifications: CCNA, Network+, Server+, MS O365 or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the high-level escalation point for complex incidents and requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security systems.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians to improve troubleshooting skills.
• Lead server, network, and application upgrades, migrations, and major changes.
• Assist with incident response, vulnerability remediation, and security audits.
• Ensure client environments align with compliance and regulatory requirements.
