Job summary

Syms Strategic Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) for remote US-based work. The role focuses on high-level operational support of complex cloud systems, monitoring, and rapid issue resolution in production environments.

Required 8+ years in systems engineering, strong AWS/Azure and scripting skills, and experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and security/compliance practices. U.S. citizenship and Public Trust (MBI) clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in systems engineering, with production environments.
• 3+ years experience with SQL queries and monitoring.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud, including S3, Step Functions, Batch, CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows systems; system administration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operational support of complex application cloud systems.
• Detect, isolate, document, and resolve system outages; develop workarounds.
• Maintain inventory of system assets and document problems in logs.
