Job summary

RTX is seeking a senior Systems Engineer for an onsite role in Goleta, CA. You will act as the primary SE focal point, translating customer requirements into system hardware/software specs and guiding multi-disciplinary teams through lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, system architecture definitions, and leading design reviews; U.S. security clearance is required prior to start date. The role is based in Goleta with onsite work expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of systems engineering experience
• Experience with EW/Radar systems and requirements decomposition
• Experience creating requirements, ICDs, and V&V plans

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the program
• Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specs
• Coordinate system engineering activities across teams
• Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies
• Oversee design reviews, technical meetings, and customer presentations
