Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in Electronic Warfare (EW) to lead the design, development, and implementation of EW systems in Goleta, CA. The role focuses on translating customer needs into hardware and software specifications while coordinating across engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and 2 years of systems engineering experience in EW/Radar, with active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship. Onsite role with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Systems/Electrical/Software Engineering, or Physics).
• 2 years of systems engineering/EW/Radar development including requirements decomposition and integration planning.
• Experience producing requirements, ICDs, and V&V plans.
• Support SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR reviews and cross-team coordination.
• Active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Systems Engineering focal point for the program and align with technical, cost, and schedule goals.
• Lead requirements analysis, trade studies, and interface definitions translating customer needs into HW/SW specs.
• Provide direction to multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with the Lead Systems Engineer on execution strategy.
• Maintain systems engineering processes across the program lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain system specifications, design docs, and test plans.
• Coordinate system design, integration, testing and verification activities.
• Conduct system-level trade studies and performance analyses.
• Participate in design reviews and customer presentations.
