Job summary

Syms Strategic Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) for a 100% U.S.-based remote role. The candidate will support cloud-based systems in production, ensure security compliance, and work with VA-related deployments.

8+ years of systems engineering experience and strong scripting/automation skills are required. Must have hands-on experience with AWS/Azure, Linux/Windows, and IaC tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field, especially production environments
• 3+ years of experience with SQL queries and monitoring
• Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure automation
• Security/compliance experience in production systems

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level day-to-day operational support of complex cloud systems
• Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
• Document issues and resolutions accurately
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable production operations
• Maintain system assets and perform regular maintenance/installs
• Implement continuous improvement in IT systems and procedures
