Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.
The role focuses on software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs, requiring an active Secret clearance (Top Secret possible later). The candidate will engage in reviews, integration, cybersecurity collaboration, and various TDRE/TEWR activities as part of an experienced team dedicated to national defense
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
- BS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
- Support the ECP process
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs
- Develop IGCEs
- Support evaluations of contractor proposals
