Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs.
This on-site role requires presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and an ACTIVE Secret Clearance. The role encompasses developing software requirements, vendor coordination, system integration, and participation in Agile and SAFe processes, with opportunities to contribute through SRRs, PDRs, CDRs,
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience in software and systems engineering.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs/SSRs/PDRs/CDRs/TRRs).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
