Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an enterprising mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance possible after start.

Ten years of software and systems engineering experience with avionics is preferred. The role involves developing software requirements, vendor coordination, system integration, and participation in Agile/SAFe processes, with responsibilities across SETs, ECPs, SOWs, CDRLs,

Qualifications

Ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
ABET-accredited BS in a technical discipline.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
Conduct analysis of software defects
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
