Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across aviation programs, with full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required; Top Secret may be required after starting. The role involves coordinating with vendors, participating in SE reviews, and contributing to agile processes in a defense environment.

Qualifications

At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Active Secret Clearance required; Top Secret clearance possible after start.
US Citizenship required to obtain a clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
