Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The role entails software systems engineering across acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs.

The position is full-time and requires an active Secret clearance, with potential Top Secret after start. Qualifications include ten years in software/systems engineering and experience with military avionics systems or software.

Qualifications

At least ten years of experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CD...RLs.
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
