Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering in aviation programs. This on-site role at a NAVAIR base in MD requires an active clearance, with potential for Top Secret clearance later.

Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $176,000 USD annually, dependent on experience and qualifications. The candidate will collaborate across vendors, cybersecurity SMEs, and engineering teams, participating in Agile/SAFe processes and

Qualifications

At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Experience with Agile software development processes (SAFe) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
