SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering on aviation programs. This full-time on-site role requires working at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, supporting acquisition, development and sustainment efforts.

The ideal candidate has strong systems engineering and software integration experience, with ACTIVE Secret clearance and US citizenship. Salary range reflects USD market norms for on-site Aerospace roles.

Qualifications

Ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
