Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs. The role requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with an active Secret clearance and potential for Top Secret later.
Ten years of engineering experience and ABET-accredited BS are expected, with a compensation range of $120,000–$176,000 USD annually.
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
