Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering on aviation programs. The role is full-time on-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with a potential Top Secret clearance path.

Ideal candidates have a decade of experience in software and systems engineering, familiarity with military avionics, and a background in MBSE or systems safety. The position is future funded and begins after September 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• Active Secret Clearance is required; Top Secret clearance may be required later.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Analyze software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support evaluations of Contractor proposals.
