Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across aviation programs. The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD, with a future start date of Sept 1, 2026 or later.

Active Secret Clearance is required; Top Secret may be required later. BS in a technical ABET-accredited field is expected, with extensive experience in DoD standards and Agile/SAFe environments.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• BS in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements; review vendor software specs.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration; analyze defects.
• Support System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs) and ECP processes.
• Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
