Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to support acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. The role requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and an active Secret Clearance (Top Secret potential later).

The project emphasizes MBSE, cybersecurity collaboration, and rigorous system reviews. The candidate should have ABET-accredited engineering training and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

• Ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the ECP process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
