Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

An active Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret. A BS in a technical discipline and at least ten years of software/systems engineering experience are expected.

Qualifications

At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
Experience with military aircraft avionics systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
