Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering on aviation programs.

The role is full-time on-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, and requires an active Secret clearance with potential Top Secret in the future. We expect at least ten years of software and systems engineering experience, plus familiarity with military aircraft avionics.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
