Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs.
This on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD and requires an ACTIVE Secret clearance, with potential for Top Secret later. The position is future funded and will not begin before September 1, 2026, with compensation anticipated in the established range reflecting experience and
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
- BS in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
- Support the ECP process and SOW/CDRL review.
- Develop IGCEs and support contractor evaluations.
