Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to support software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs. This position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.
This role is future funded and not expected to begin before September 1, 2026. The candidate will develop and maintain software requirements, review vendor software specs, coordinate with vendors on
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
