Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs. This is a full-time, on-site role at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with an ACTIVE Secret clearance required and potential for Top Secret later.

Eligible candidates should have a technical BS (ABET) and 10+ years in software/systems engineering. The position involves developing software requirements, coordinating with vendors, integrating systems, and

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207.
• Education: BS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements
• Review vendor software specifications
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
• Conduct analysis of software defects
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
