Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a mid- to senior-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs.

This full-time, on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD and requires an active Secret clearance, with possible Top Secret upgrade. The ideal candidate has at least ten years of experience in software and systems engineering, with exposure to military avionics, MBSE, and

Qualifications

• At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in SE technical reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support evaluations of Contractor proposals.
