Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering on aviation programs. This on-site role requires active Secret clearance and potential Top Secret clearance later.

You will work at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD, developing requirements, coordinating with vendors, and supporting SE reviews and ECP processes. With ten years of relevant experience, you’ll contribute to MBSE, systems/software integration, and cybersecurity

Qualifications

At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
