Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs. This on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and requires an active Secret clearance with potential to Top Secret after start.
Responsibilities include developing software requirements, coordinating with vendors on integration, supporting ECPs, and participating in Agile/SAFe processes, MBSE, and system safety considerations.
Qualifications
- At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
