Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a junior- to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. Active Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret later.

The role involves software requirements, vendor coordination, and collaboration across system integration and cybersecurity teams. Two+ years in software or systems engineering and a BS in a technical ABET-accredited program are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years of software or systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• BS in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
