Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The role involves software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs, with potential clearance upgrades after start.

The position requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance and U.S. citizenship. Ten years of software and systems engineering experience and familiarity with military avionics are essential.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
• Conduct analysis of software defects
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
