Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs. On-site at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD, active Secret clearance is required, with potential to obtain TS clearance later.

You will develop software requirements, review vendor specs, coordinate integration, and support EBP, Agile and SAFe processes throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in software or systems engineering.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• Active Secret clearance is required; TS may be needed after start.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
