Job summary

Andersen is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Technology team as a System Administrator. You will manage core Microsoft infrastructure, drive cloud migrations, and support global onboarding of firms, with a focus on automation and security.

You will mentor junior team members, enhance monitoring, and participate in incident response. This role offers exposure to enterprise-wide initiatives and a fast-paced environment in Buffalo, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on system administration or infrastructure support experience in a corporate or enterprise environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory / Entra ID.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VLANs.
• Experience with scripting and automation, with PowerShell strongly preferred.
• Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex, multi‑layered infrastructure issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Administer core Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and enterprise apps in a global hybrid environment.
• Manage server lifecycle including provisioning, configuration, patching, and decommissioning with a focus on automation and consistency.
• Monitor system health, logs, and alerts to proactively resolve issues before impacting the business.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity teams to maintain stable operations across U.S. and international offices.
• Maintain and improve documentation, configuration standards, and procedures for audit readiness.
• Mentor junior IT staff and contribute to knowledge sharing.
